Our Favorite: Arizona Film Festival

Think all the best movies are on your http://www.direct.tv/direct-tv/Arizona/ movie channels? What about the independents that never make it to major release? If you live in the Arizona area you’re missing out if you’re not going to one of the region’s best film festivals. Here are a few of our favorites:
International Film Festival Arizona: Okay, so this is probably one you already know but did you know this Tucson institution has everything from animated movies to digital shorts? If you’re looking for a great place to take in what’s new, this is it.
Sedona International: This one attracts the biggest names of them all and why wouldn’t it – the scenery here alone is enough of a draw! If you’re looking for some great local films this is the spot you should start with.
Puro Mexicano Tucson: This one is relatively new but it’s all about the Mexican flavor. If you’re into Spanish language films this is a festival you really can’t afford to miss – and it’s so close to home! Apparently Tucson is the place for the best film festivals in the state.
