The Top Five Festivals for Independent Film

The United States is known for promoting independent film production by supporting a large number of festivals where individuals and groups can come together to share their life’s work. Although there are essentially a limitless number of these festivals, some are certainly between than others and these are usually found in larger cities known for their promotion of the arts and media.
One of the best film festivals for independent films i the Independent Film Festival of Boston. It was first created in 2003 through a non profit organization to bring together thousands of creative minds to share, explore and learn about film making. Over 1200 films are submitted each year but only a small minority are actually shown (between 90 and 100 films). With over 120 screenings taking places at a given festival, there are many opportunities to ask questions and get connected with film makers all over the country.
